Service and Times

During the COVID-19 crisis we are live-streaming our worship message each Sunday morning at 10:10 a.m. on our Facebook page:

Who We Are

We are a Free Methodist community located in Rushville, IL. We go by the name Hope Church to help express the beauty of our message, and the renewal of our spirit. God is doing powerful things at Hope Church, and we’d love for you to join us and see where God leads.

What To Wear

We are a mix of people from a variety of backgrounds When you come to our worship service, modesty is always good, but otherwise wear what you find comfortable as you enter a worship experience. In our congregation you’ll find everything from dressy attire to casual wear.

Where To Park

We are located on the corner of South Liberty and Clinton Streets in Rushville, IL. Our main entrance and parking lot is located behind the church. Parking in these spaces will give you quick and easy access to the facility.  This is also where you will find handicap parking as well as a convenient, covered drop off point.
On Sunday mornings and during other events, you are welcome to utilize the medical arts building parking lots across the street from the church. There is also street parking available around the church.

Where To Enter

The quickest access point to our offices and main auditorium is the entrance with the overhang at the back of our facility. If you are parking on the front side of our facility, we recommend using the entrance located in the newest section.

When You Arrive

When you enter, help yourself to the information and handouts available at our welcome center and the white rack near the elevator.
Please enjoy a complimentary a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate from a wide selection of popular varieties at our refreshment area.
Water is also available.

Our Worship Services

Our congregation is quite diverse, and so is our worship style! Our emphasis is on creating an atmosphere of worship rather than conforming to a format. Whether it’s a classic hymn, a contemporary song, or any familiar favorite from throughout the years, our central focus is to worship and honor Jesus as we gather together. We are free to cry, laugh, pray, sing, praise, and learn together in a spirit of wonder and awe at how great our God is. Our sermons are centered in the Bible, and we believe you will find our worship services relevant to your life.

Ministry to Children

As our work here is growing and being renewed, so are our ministries to our children. Our nursery is located on the upper level, just a short walking distance from the main auditorium, . All our children’s ministry workers must go through a certification process. We are always concerned about the well-being of your children. We regularly evaluate the safety and cleanliness of our facility, and provide ongoing security to help assure the safety of our little ones. We highly commend our workers, and we welcome your input to help us improve in any area.

Handicap Accessibility

Every level of our facility is accessible by both stairs and an elevator. Our auditorium level offers outstanding handicap accessible restrooms. There are also convenient locations in the sanctuary for sitting in wheelchairs, and our platform is ramp accessible. If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to ask. There is always someone available to help you during our service times.

The Money Thing

As a guest, we simply invite you to come and worship with us under no obligation to give. Yes, we do take an offering during our worship service. We believe that the financial support for our church and the work we are doing is the responsibility of our congregation. We believe that grace compels us to give generously, and that grace also compels us to be good stewards of our resources.

If You Are Coming For An Event

Along with our main auditorium, we have our large Activity Room on the upper level.  It is equipped with a beautiful, professional quality kitchen.  This area is accessible by both stairs and an elevator.
